How to ask " where is person or things " in Arabic language ?
Where are you from ? Or from where you are ?

Are " no meaning "
You أنت anta

Then you should answer
I am from " your country or the place you live in "
أنا من " your country "

I am أنا Ana

If you want ask about the places of anything
You can say " where is " then put the name of the thing or the person you ask about "
Where is he ? أين هو ayna hwa ?
He هو hwa
Where is she ? أين هي ayna hya ?
She هي hya
Where is my book ? أين كتابي ayna ketabi
Book كتاب kitab
My book kitabi
And the answer will start with
In the .... في Fe ...
On the ... على a'la ..
Beside .... بجانب beganb ...

You can use mandada or trabeza , the same have meaning of table
